France

While France has many to offer to all sorts of travelers, it is never a dull place for children to visit especially when they are old enough to remember the trip. Paris is home to the Eiffel Tower and seeing it in person will give you and your child goosebumps. Don’t forget to see it light up at night where, arguably, it could possibly be at its most breathtaking. Let’s not forget the Louvre museum and cafes that line the capital’s streets. Each photo you take with your family will be picture perfect!
There is also Disneyland Paris, the most popular amusement park in Europe. While not as big as its American counterparts, the place itself is as magical as the city of Paris.
There is also Brittany, France in its northwestern borders, where the seaside is enchanting. There are family-friendly campsites and while older children can enjoy windsurfing, the grown-ups can have all the fresh oysters they want.

United Kingdom

What’s not to love in the UK? It’s home to Harry Potter, One Direction, and The Beatles. It has a Queen, Paddington Bear, and double-decker buses. The UK has a lot to offer to adults and children and it is a popular destination for families.
In London, there are many sites to visit, such as Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the Queen. If you’re lucky you might be able to witness a procession or rally of sorts while on vacation; join in if your kids are willing to wait for a wave from a real-life Royal! There is also the London Bridge and while singing the popular nursery rhyme can raise some eyebrows, it will be fun for little kids to see it in person. Take a quick ride inside one of their popular and iconic double-decker buses to see jolly olde London.
The Stonehenge is a day’s trip away and it will make for a wonderful topic during dinner when you get home. Edinburgh, Scotland is another destination worth looking into if you have children because of the twelve festivals held throughout the year.

Japan

If you want to experience an explosion of culture and a unique travel experience you won’t get anywhere else, head to Japan. Japan is easily in anyone’s top travel destination, young or old.
Tokyo, the country’s capital, houses Tokyo Disneyland. You can also take a photo in Shinjunku and Shibuya Crossing, one of the world’s busiest road crossings. The city lights up at night with neon signages. The Ghibli museum is also worth visiting while you’re in Tokyo. Head to Nagoya for Legoland and for a taste of the Japanese countryside. Locals are happy to help tourists, but make sure to observe proper etiquette always (such as taking a bow and taking off shoes when entering a home) and bear in mind that language can be an issue as most people don’t speak English. Still, Japan is another magical place to visit when traveling with children.
When choosing a travel destination, always keep things balanced. It would be hard to plan a trip that revolves solely around the kids, and the vacation wouldn’t be as fun when you have a child who can’t keep up with an adult. Plan a trip that will keep both sides happy and remember to be flexible about plans. Remember that this is a trip that you and your child will remember, so might as well make it an enjoyable trip!
