Sink Or Swim
The cubs found themselves completely alone, flailing about in the frigid water, desperately crying for their departing mother. Can you imagine being so young and weak, in such a terrifying situation, all while watching your own mother leaving you behind? But nature is nature. A baby needs plenty of care and protection, and these little ones had been stranded in the worst kind of danger. With little hope for survival, it seemed the cubs would find a watery grave, all alone.
