This phenomenal story starts with a group of fishermen going about their relaxing business. Incredibly, more than just fish would appear in the water: a pair of sinking bear cubs. This whole scene played out in a frigid northwestern Russian lake. The men were certain that aiding the drowning cubs goes without question, but how were they going to go about the rescue mission? Was this something humans were even capable of? And why did the cubs’ mother disappear in the first place? Or was she close by and would they be in danger when they tried getting close to the cubs?

Unless you happen to be accustomed to such ferocious cold conditions, such an environment can be lethal for most animals and humans.

It’s now time to clear up the small details of our tale. This story was set into motion with a mama bear approaching Lake Vygozero with her cubs with no other option but to struggle their way through it. Both the small human and animal population of the lake’s surrounding area know that this is a harsh region to live in. Regardless, this bear seemed to think that she and her babies were ready for action, but this faith would lead to terrible consequences.

Without further hesitation, the mother bear leaped into the freezing water in the hopes that her babies would follow. They had not made much progress before it became evident that this mission was too much for the little cubs. This was an overwhelming struggle for ones so young and sensitive, but they did their best to clutch to their mother. Even wild animals can bite off more than they can chew.

It would soon be clear that this mother was way in over her head. Her cubs would not be able to match her pace, but she was already in the middle of the water, and couldn’t turn back now, so she had to make a tough decision. She decided that in order to save herself, she would have to let them go.

Before you judge the mother bear, maybe you should know just why she decided to save her own life. There could very well have been some overwhelming currents in that lake that made it physically impossible to carry on with her babies clutching onto her. While you may think that she should have done everything in her power to save her offspring, she abandoned all hope and carried on alone. The mother bear would make it to the other side intact. Also remember, that in nature, should the cubs have made it but without their mother, they also probably would not have survived very long.

As for the cubs, it was all that they could do to clutch on to their mother with all their strength without falling helplessly into the deadly water. Sadly, exhaustion would quickly overcome them, and they would soon let go. These babies were then plunged into the middle of a massive, freezing lake without any kind of swimming experience. Exhausted and frozen, it seemed like the rules of nature would take their toll on the vulnerable little bears.

The cubs found themselves completely alone, flailing about in the frigid water, desperately crying for their departing mother. Can you imagine being so young and weak, in such a terrifying situation, all while watching your own mother leaving you behind? But nature is nature. A baby needs plenty of care and protection, and these little ones had been stranded in the worst kind of danger. With little hope for survival, it seemed the cubs would find a watery grave, all alone.

When it seemed like all hope was lost, a boat suddenly appeared in the water. Surprisingly, the terrified cubs did not need much help getting the humans’ attention, as they were well aware of the situation. Amazingly, the cubs had found some instinctual ability to swim, and after having spotted the fishermen, desperately pushed their little limbs as hard as they could to make their way to the approaching boat.

So, who were these unlikely potential rescuers? A bunch of fishermen happened to be busy on the lake when they spotted this dramatic act of nature across the water. They decided to abandon their fishing in favor of getting a better look at the intense situation nearby. As they got near enough to properly assess the situation, it was evident that these bear cubs were quickly running out of time.

While the men were assured in their conviction, the situation soon seemed far more complicated than they had previously anticipated. Although the mother bear had decided to leave her babies behind, the approaching fishermen could change her mind if she saw them as a threat. There was now the very real danger of being mauled by a bear. The fishermen slowed the boat down, waiting for the mother bear to put enough distance between them for a safe rescue.

They weren’t exactly experts in bear cub rearing, and these small creatures could turn on them after being rescued. Even with all these questions in mind, it was obvious that there was little time for hesitation. The cubs were on the verge of drowning.

It seems like regardless of the context, people will always be ready with their phones to capture an incredible situation. A fisherman whipped out his smartphone and started recording the cubs as they frantically swam toward the boat. The first cub to make it reached his paw out to scramble onto safety. While it is rare that wild animals look to humans for help, this was one exceptional scenario. This was also one incredible video that would make for global wonder!

Sadly, it proved too much of an effort for the already drained cub to climb onto the boat, which was too high for the tiny animal to get a good grip on. One ingenious fisherman managed to do some quick thinking, grabbing fishing gear for the cub to grip onto. Good intentions aside, the cub was unable to find a way to latch on even with the long tool being handed to the bear.

It seemed like the fishermen had run out of ideas when the cubs were struck with inspiration. You might have heard of bears’ deadly fangs? Well, instead of munching on salmon, this time, the cubs would be using their heavy jaws as tools, using them as climbing hooks as they finally began making progress. The fishermen were amazed at how clever the cubs were being. It seems like a desperate situation will bring out the ingenious side of any animal.

Despite having worked for a while, it was clear that the bears were going to need a lot more help if they were to make it aboard properly. The responsibility then returned to the fishermen, who refused to just “look the other way”. They knew that if they did not step in, the cubs were completely doomed. Speaking about doom, the fishermen soon realized that their helping hand would also bring plenty of personal danger.

If this rescue mission were to be successful, both humans and bears would have to develop an absolute level of trust. It seemed like the harder the fishermen pushed to yank the bears in, the further away they were being pushed. There seemed to be some fatal flaw in their dynamic, and worse, the fishermen came alarmingly close to falling right into the water for a possible impromptu bear lunch.

Amazingly, the turning point in the crisis would come automatically. The cub who was committed to biting his way onto the boat suddenly locked eyes with the fisherman trying to help him along. That was when a natural connection and understanding developed between them. Now that they were literally seeing eye to eye, the two sides could finally cooperate on the same page. The cub was yearning for help from the fisherman!

The fishermen were not about to give up, but intentions mean nothing without intelligent action. Once you become committed to helping someone, living with the possible failed outcome can be devastating. Inspiration often comes in the most hopeless places, and it was then that the fishermen realized that their long fishing nets could be of use. They were long enough for the cubs to reach, and the actual nets were wide enough to scoop the bears with.

Humans are the most ingenious when pushed to the edge, and you can never tell what someone is going to come up with when everything seems lost, but these nets had not been designed with “bear fishing” in mind, however, and it was clear that they could break with the pressure of a couple of heavy bear cubs. With little time and few options left, the fishermen plunged their nets into the cold water.

The scooping effort seemed to be working to some extent, but even with their combined strengths, the fishermen were struggling to lift the cub who already weighed more than a grown adult man. Then there was the actual cub’s behavior, being terrified of the net and perhaps suspecting that these men were trying to capture him for all the wrong reasons. Even if they did manage to get the bear on board, he could turn on the humans in terror.

People will generally regard a bear encounter in the wild as a very real threat, and despite their selfless rescue efforts, the fishermen were well aware of nature and had real fear in their hearts too. Once they managed to rescue the bears, they would need to find a way to ease their anxiety. This was where the second half of their impromptu plan came into effect. They came in peace, but whether the bears knew that was a different story.

Just raising one of these bears a few inches at a time was backbreaking work. You have seen pictures and videos of these enormous furry beasts and can estimate that they weigh several hundred pounds, even as adolescents. Despite their youth, the cubs felt like anchors. To add to their already heavy loads, the cubs’ thick furs were loaded with water. It started to dawn on the rescuers that this may be a completely futile effort, but that didn’t stop them from giving it their all!

When you are trying to save someone from certain death, a secret reserve of almost superhuman strength explodes out of you. The fishermen found themselves charged with this superstrength as they steadily heaved the first cub toward the platform of their boat. It seemed like they were about to net their first cub, and they were close to celebrating. All that remained was a final huge tug for the bear to be safe and sound.

With a final straining pull, the first bear finally rolled onto the boat! There was no time to waste, however, as the rescued cub’s brother was still in the water. If they could rescue one cub, however, then certainly the next was just within reach. The bear was further away than they had first predicted, however. The cub had also been in the freezing water for a long time and was starting to suffer from exposure.

Even with the added challenges of this second rescue, the fishermen were heroically determined. Upon nearing the cub, they sent their trusty net back out to scoop him in as they had his brother. Seeing as their first rescue method had worked out so well, they simply repeated it with this cub. With this experience at hand, everything seemed to be working like clockwork as they secured the cub with the net and began hoisting him upwards.

Now everything that was left was for the fishermen to exert themselves once more as they painfully hauled the second cub on board. When faced with an intense physical task, it really helps to know that two lives depend on your strength carrying through. Thankfully, these were seasoned fishermen, whose whole occupations were built on their physical strength and toiling. They drew the last cub onto the boat like a furry tuna fish!

Now that the bears were safe, the fishermen started questioning their own mortality! They were not too worried, however, simply being relieved that their unlikely shipmates were safe and sound. This is the kind of sacrifice you would hope any human would be able to make, even when presented with a potentially dangerous pair of predators. Had the fishermen not been there that day, the cubs would most likely have drowned.

The weary fishermen now carefully approached the cubs to see if they were alright. As expected, the nearly drowned babies were shivering out of control. It wasn’t just the cold that was causing their trembling, they were scared of their new captors. These were wild animals after all, unfamiliar with humans and boats. This was all proving to be fearfully foreign for the animals now out of their comfort zone.

The fishermen were heartbroken to see how miserable these wretched cubs were. They turned to each other and made an oath: these cubs would grow up to be fine and strong bears! At least as far as a human can carry a wild animal, however, as obviously taming these creatures was out of the question. And so, they made their way for dry land, where the mother was anxiously anticipating her babies’ return.

The fishermen were getting close to the shore, but if they were to land safely without destroying their boat, the ideal spot would need to be found. They also had to consider the mother bear’s access, and so they couldn’t dock somewhere she could not easily reach. Despite having left her cubs to die, the mother wished nothing more than to have her babies safely in her paws again. She was nowhere to be seen, however, and the fishermen wondered if she would even come, and even if she did that, how would she react?

Both the fishermen and the cubs looked out from the boat’s edge in desperate search of the mother bear, but none could spot even a sign of her presence or activity. While the baby cubs fearlessly wished nothing more than to be reunited with their mother, the fishermen dreaded the possibility of an attack. Nevertheless, they were committed to this furry family reunion, no matter the potential cost on their lives.

The party waited for some time, but the mother was a no-show. They were sure that she was lurking somewhere nearby. The fishermen started preparing themselves to drop the cubs off, but not without some sadness. Their short but intense experience together had bonded them somewhat. They cautiously picked the cubs up and led them to an open spot where their mother could easily find them. This was one emotional sendoff…

When the fishermen made sure that their new friends had been securely dropped off, they suddenly appreciated their return to safety. And, they had an incredible video to show all their friends! It is so much better to watch a phenomenal event, rather than just hear some tall tale. But it was their relationships with the cubs which stood out most for them. Not all wild scenarios pan out like a family-friendly blockbuster, however, as you will soon find out with our next story. This hiker ran straight into the kind of situation that makes one wish they had just stayed home that day!

When looking back on this misadventure of terrifying proportions, Biggs says that he is fortunate to still be walking. The Paradise Post was the first to hear his story to completion, but we couldn’t help but find some inconsistencies in this story. Everyone needs a bit of attention now and then!

Regardless, old Mr. Biggs found himself in a lawless world of danger one day as he journeyed through the breathtaking wilderness of northern California.

Robert found himself during a particularly gorgeous day in 2012 hiking through California’s north-central region. This day started off as perfectly serene, and Robert could never have expected that his life would soon be out of his hands. It was when he encountered a mother bear with her cub that he paused to regard this lovely scene. When he was satisfied that this memory would last a lifetime, he continued with the journey.

Robert described this moment where a person can truly grasp nature’s grandeur, with this natural family scene unfolding before him. He was oblivious to how monstrously significant this seemingly harmless meeting would prove to be. His future was now lethally intertwined with that of the wild, and only a person well-acquainted with natural emergencies could have made it out in one piece. And if not one piece, then with enough pieces to return home to tell the tale!

The Californian gentleman was blind to the thing watching him in his blissful ignorance. Robert happily continued watching the glory of the wild animal family, while a predator, closer than he could ever have imagined and yet completely out of sight, waited for him to make a move. It was only forty feet away from him and could have at any moment taken him down for the kill before he could even scream.

A mountain lion lay crouched in anticipation, sizing Robert out and observing his behavior and condition carefully. “For sure it must have been stalking the little bear, but it was on me in seconds,” recalled Robert. Now the decisively easier prey was about to have his memorable day an everlasting memory for all the wrong reasons. The serenely calm situation seemed uninterruptible for Robert. Too bad he was about to face the full wrath of one of nature’s most lethal agents.

The mountain lion waited for Robert to turn back to the path. As the old man moved, the ferocious cat took him to the ground. Robert described how the mountain lion pounced on his backpack. Its tremendous claws started tearing through his bag and flesh as he fought back with all his might. Even in his youthful prime, Robert would have had an extraordinarily little chance of overpowering this infamously brutal beast.

“He grabbed me from behind and knocked me down to the ground. I was on my knees,” Robert described to The Huffington Post. “I had my rock pick out because I was on a steep incline, and I smashed the cat in the head with it.” While some people simply lay down to accept their fates, with others doing their best to run away, Robert described himself as a fighter.

Robert was not about to simply lay down and die, however, and he surprised the mountain lion with his own natural power. Robert managed to grab his rock pick from his backpack throughout this primal battle, striking the big cat full-on in the face. The cat flinched, but quickly recovered, and would have furiously torn into Robert if some formless mass had not ripped the lion off him with surprising ease. The mother bear had come to his rescue, seizing the lion by her throat.

Robert failed to describe just how deafeningly terrifying the sound of these two beasts roaring and growling at each other was. The bear flung the mountain lion away from Robert, and the two flew into each other in an explosive clash. If Robert was a betting man, his money would have been on the bear, massively outweighing the mountain lion at four to one. Granted, the mountain lion quickly became a scaredy-cat as it bolted for the hills. The bear quickly regained her composure, checked to see if Robert was fine, and then strolled back to her baby.

Robert was no stranger to the Bean Soup Flat Trail, but never in his wildest dreams would he expect to come between two radical forces of nature on the otherwise tranquil path. Thankfully, Robert was largely uninjured and only needed his first-aid kit to tend to some small scratches. Understandably, his wife was adamant that he should be in a hospital, afraid that the mountain lion’s attack could lead to infection.

While unable to properly show his gratitude to the bear that saved him, Robert was convinced that this ferocious mother had intervened in order to rescue him from a fate worse than he could have ever imagined. They had locked eyes, and that was when he realized that he and this animal had crossed paths before. The bear had remembered him, even if he had not. Talk about an unlikely friendship!

If you feel like this tale is a bit too tall for your liking, you are not alone. The California Department of Fish and Game weighed in on Robert’s crazy story, and they were not convinced either. Andrew Hughan, a wildlife official, claimed that his “evidence” was full of holes. They decided to take things a step further with a series of DNA tests taken from the blood on Biggs’ backpack, which failed to find any trace of animal interference. According to DFG’s Kirsten Macintyre, “All of the evidence – the lab results, an investigation at the scene, and the scratches on Mr. Bigg’s arm— is inconsistent with a mountain lion attack.” Believe it or not, Robert’s story is highly entertaining!

Without going too deep into the nature of Robert’s story, the case of animal youths being left to fend for themselves is very real, as in the case of our bear cubs. Our next story takes us away from lethal encounters, and back to a deeply touching one where a Lithuanian gentleman called Erikas Plucas discovered something phenomenal in the wild. Situations like these reinforce the notion that love is unconditional, and that a relationship can form between any two animals.

Lucas was simply walking home to his farm when something odd caught his attention. Lying by the gate leading to his property was a baby moose, all in a bundle. Moose were abundant in this rugged part of Plucas’ Lithuanian countryside, but this particular youngster was behaving strangely. He then crept toward the small moose as carefully and quietly as possible. He was a good man, but he was also a clever one too, given moose’s penchant for charging.

Prior to actually edging toward the animal, Erikas became paranoid that mommy moose might be hanging around nearby. You can expect most creatures to defend their young with savage brutality, and being charged by a massive moose was not on Erikas’ to-do list that day. He made sure to scout the greenery around his property first before returning his attention to the kid moose. Now that they were well and truly alone, he could turn his attention back to the youth.

Despite his lack of moose-related expertise, it was clear that this calf was just a few days old. Erikas estimated the little moose to have been around two weeks’ old. The stray moose was in a horrible state, crumpled on the floor while bleating pitifully. Something awful had happened to the poor baby, and Erikas seemed to have been on the money with his understanding of the situation leading up to the moose’s abandonment.

Erikas was convinced that hunters were to blame for the calf’s trauma. They had probably shot the baby’s mother, causing her offspring to bolt into the bushes in a wild panic. The calf had then managed to reach the entry to Erikas’ farm before collapsing in an exhausted and terrified heap. Beyond tiredness, the calf had been hurt. Erikas was moved to a compassionate amount of pity seeing this creature in such a state, as personally reported to The Dodo.

Erikas knew that if he did not help this young moose, that anything from predators to hunters would claim her, or she would die from hunger and exposure. He could not leave any animal in such a horrified and exposed state. He decided that he would become the baby’s new guardian. This was going to take a lot of work on his part, and the responsibility of carrying the calf through to strength and good health would be immense.

Although the animal was filthy and in bad shape, Erikas took it upon himself to push all his apprehensions to the back of his mind and be the hero the calf needed. The calf was on the verge of malnutrition, her fur was riddled with parasites, and she seemed like the saddest creature on earth. Erikas bent down and picked the wretched moose up, carrying her through his front door. He could have never predicted what kind of trouble he had just brought upon himself!

Now that Erikas had this moose in his care, he had no idea how to actually care for her, so he dialed up some knowledgeable friends. For the most part, they were highly critical. Not only had he broken various human laws, he had also gone against the rules of nature. They urged him to take the calf back out into the wild, and allow nature to run its course.

Following the highly unhelpful exchanges with his friends, Erikas dialed up the local Animal Services, fearfully anticipating the closest agent’s response. When they eventually answered, they informed him that help would only come the next day. Erikas now had to face a full day of relatively naïve caring for an animal that needed severe medical attention. Understandably, he began sweating while thinking of the rough day ahead for both him and his guest. Understandably, Erikas was almost as afraid as the quivering calf.

Erikas did not even know where to begin with helping the animal, but it was obvious that she needed a meal, and soon. He left for the garden, plucking leaves off trees and filling a pail with milk. Further, he set about nailing together a small shelter for the calf to rest in up until Animal Services could safely collect her. Despite his best efforts, there would be plenty more issues cropping up to be dealt with.

The day passed somewhat successfully for the calf, thanks to Erikas’ makeshift caring plan. An Animal Services agent pulled into the path leading to Erikas’ farmhouse the next morning. Erikas eagerly greeted the agent, who he led to the hurt calf’s little home in the garden area. The agent took one look at the moose and then gravely turned to Erikas, informing him that not only he be unable to aid this animal, but that there was only one morbid option left for her.

The agent recommended that Erikas summon a nearby hunter, who could then bring peace to the calf with as much professional dignity as possible. Erikas was shocked to hear such a suggestion from someone who was meant to help animals. He could never hand the calf back to the hunters who had put him in this awful condition in the first place. Of course, Erikas harboring of a wild animal was unlawful, but sometimes what is right, and what is lawful, are two very different things.

Despite struggling to find the words to respond to the Animal Services agent with, Erikas was determined. He managed to inform the agent that he would manage the situation himself, who then nodded and turned to leave. Erikas had been so sure that no matter how hard this whole process would be, that he would nurse this calf back to health. Things had just gotten a whole lot more complicated, however.

The calf’s nursing became the main impetus for Erikas’ care, and providing the animal with such treatment quickly turned him into a legitimate father. He could not keep this animal without naming her, of course, going for the beautiful name Emma. The naming part was simple – now came the long and trying nursing period where almost every minute seemed like it brought a new challenge. Erikas felt well out of his depth.

Emma was now, however, turning into a friendly and relaxed creature, rather than the frightened and hysterical one she was when Erikas first carried her in. Sure, she enjoyed the peace and healing of Erikas’ care, but she was also starting to bond with him. Each time that Erikas departed on errands, Emma started wailing for his return. It wasn’t just Emma suffering from separation anxiety, however, as Erikas also admitted to feeling uncomfortable whenever he was away from his new baby.

As Emma was unwilling to be away from Erikas for very long, her human father went to strange lengths to keep her happy. She was skittish around anyone and anything but her father. It then became clear that her exterior sleeping arrangements were not going to work out. So, Erikas decided to join her in the garden or barn where she slept, all towards making Emma feel as safe and loved as possible. This arrangement couldn’t last forever, however, and Erikas knew that Emma would soon need to be released.

Emma was not going to return to the wild easily, however, given how traumatized she had been when Erikas originally found her. Getting her to join her kin was not going to be a walk in the park. Erikas was insistent that she regain her natural confidence and status, however. There was no fighting her better instincts. He was unsurprised when his initial attempts to return her to the woods resulted in huge performances from Emma.

Ease Her In
Reluctantly, Emma began transitioning back into the wild, all with Erikas’ gentle hand guiding her along. To his fatherly credit, Erikas helped Emma differentiate between threatening and safe places and things. Further, he showed her how to eat without worrying too much. Emma was soon on her way toward being a brave and independent animal, rather than the scared and fragile being she had been reduced to. What wonderful progress!

Wild And Wonderful
With Emma having successfully been returned to her woods, she commenced exploring, free of Erikas’ guidance. It was all thanks to her human friend and guardian that she had found her confidence and independence. These would not just be small strolls, however, as Emma would soon begin embarking on fantastic adventures. It took her a world of strength and courage to reach this stage, but she was finally heading back to a place closer to normal moose activity.

Emma was now finding her place back in the wild, going on lengthy trips, often coming back to Erikas’ farm well after sunset. Every longwinded adventure would stretch her boundaries, and it was on one particular night that Erikas began to worry about whether she would be coming back, or not. It was late one night that Erikas began to fear that his surrogate daughter had ended up in some perilous situation.

Erikas tried to comfort his fears with the knowledge that Emma was a large and powerful moose, now. Still, he could not swallow all his worries. He had become very protective of this animal, and each night spent away from her would cause him a world of sleepless anxiety. Still, he could only hang on to her for so long, and that this was a process any parent had to suffer through eventually.

Erikas decided that it was time to truly let go and turned to head back to his farm. That was when he heard a mooing sound behind him. It was from Emma! She had come to see her beloved father. From that point onwards, Emma would also make sure to drop in on Erikas. They would make the most out of their short daily hangout, and never truly let go of each other.

The human and animals had come to a level of friendship and love which is hard to find anywhere on Earth. Each visit would lead to all manner of memorable experiences, and they loved to swim, play, and relax together. Erikas always made sure that he had everything ready for his daily fun with his daughter of sorts. They were going to now enjoy a lifetime of friendship, no matter what.

Relationships And Rescues
The friends who had previously advised Erikas to abandon Emma to her fate struggled to empathize or even understand just what he and the moose shared. Not that Erikas cared, really. Erikas assured The Dodo that their relationship was pure and empathetic and that his moose friend would never do anything to harm him. It seemed like many people failed to step outside their narrow mindsets and come to terms with this unusual relationship.

Despite Emma now having reached full maturity as a “wild” animal, she never stopped loving and caring for Erikas. But love alone cannot protect you from danger, and the threat of hunters remained a scarily real possibility for the moose. Erikas was understandably concerned. He kept to his fatherly oath and would do his best to keep Emma out of harm’s way, even if it meant coming up with another trying plan.

Against All Odds
Erikas was not about to leave Emma to the hunters, but even he admitted that his new scheme was risky. There was room for error, meaning that Erikas had to go to extreme lengths this time, even if it meant bringing Emma face-to-face with her nemeses. Erikas invited the hunters over, to make sure that they knew that this animal was off-limits. Erikas commented that “I had a lot of hunters over for them to see her as not just a nice, warm steak with potatoes and vegetables on the table, but as a very intelligent and loving animal.”

Unexpected Empathy
No one could have predicted how the hunters would respond to this request which went against their better nature and source of income. Erikas had pictured the hunters as cruel and heartless men. As it turned out, their first meeting would reveal a vastly different group of professionals. They gave Erikas their word that Emma would be safe from their rifles. They shared Erikas’ sentimentality after spending some time with the wonderfully gentle and playful creature.

The pleasant surprises were just beginning for the moose and her dad, however. These hunters became so taken with Emma and her progress through such overwhelming odds a new rule soon became official among the local hunting community. Moose were now banned from being hunted! Emma was finally safe, but that wasn’t even the best part. What could possibly be better than knowing her life was no longer threatened?

Sometime after Erikas ensured that Emma would no longer be targeted, Erika came trotting in for her usual playtime with her dad. He could not help noticing that she had changed somewhat, having swelled significantly in size. He gazed at her with a puzzled expression for a bit, but he quickly realized that he would soon be a grandfather! Emma had fallen pregnant and it was all that Erikas could do to stop himself from building a whole new moose shelter.

Erikas was overwhelmed with the knowledge that his selflessness and hard work had allowed new life to come into the world. Their bond only grew stronger (if that was even possible), and it was almost like Emma was thanking Erikas for allowing her the privilege of being a mother-to-be. No matter what life threw at them, it was clear that they would always remain the best of friends, come rain or sunshine.
