It wasn’t like Kyle had struck out by staying with Smith. He loved walking a lot, so that meant that Kyle had to prepare himself for a lot of walking every day. As he loved to be outdoors, this wasn’t a problem for him. As Smith lived in the middle of the countryside, the location was ideal for these mini-hikes. On one particular day, a walk in the forest surrounding the property would lead to an astonishing discovery.

He was trained particularly well, and didn’t often wander off on his own without being commanded to leave his owner’s side. Because he behaved so well, Smith was quite surprised when he started zoning in on a specific tree, unyielding and indicating that there was something dangerous there.
